2) a) Compare the ways the poets present anti-social behaviour in Education For Leisure and Hitcher
2) b) Compare the ways in which the attitudes of the speakers are presented in two poems from the pre-1914 poetry bank.

3) a) Compare the endings of the Laboratory and Havisham.
3) b) compare the endings of one poem by Armitage and one other from the 1914 bank.

 

2004

1) a) Compare how love is presented in Before You Were Mine and Mother any distance and then
1) b) compare how love is presented in any two poems from the 1914 poetry bank.

2) Compare the ways the poets use the first person to create a voice in Education For Leisure and one poem by Armitage. Go on to compare the first person is used in two poems from the 1914 poetry bank.

3) Compare how strong emotions are conveyed in On My First Sonne and three other poems, one more from the pre 1914 poetry bank and any two other poems one from Duffy and one from Armitage.
